Hey There Fellow Night Owls,
Tonight my mom, sister, and I got together to have a Pinterest craft party--to try out all of the fun things we have seen lately on Pinterest. We had a great time together and I thought I would share some of the fun things we made with you guys! Although---I made nothing teaching related! Sometimes it's nice to have a break from teacher stuff. Feel free to comment or email me if you have questions about how we made anything. And please go ahead and pin anything you want to!

This is one of my mom's crafts-a super cute holiday wall hanging made from a spray-painted silver branch, stamped snowflake, and three tags with: "dream", a snowman, and 'wish" stamped on them. |

Here's a craft that I made-Clothespin clips for displaying Christmas cards. I thought these would work great with the scrap ribbon garland that I also made tonight (see one of the other pics below). I used Modge Podge to adhere the scrapbook paper to the clothespins and hot glued the buttons on the top. |

Here is what my sister, Anna, made-- A super duper cute weight loss visual display. She covered two cork boards with fabric and ribbon. She used glittery foam letters from Wally World to spell out the words. Every time she loses a pound, she gets to move a clothespin over to the other bulletin board. She only wants to lose ten pounds--my board would be much more full!! I think this will be very motivating for her. |

Another craft of mine--I tied scraps of ribbon onto a string of old fashioned, big bulb Christmas lights to make a fun indoor garland. I can't wait to put it up!! |

A super cute canvas that my mom stenciled and painted! |

Aghh! I am so excited about this! It was my first attempt at a DIY photo canvas. After researching how to make these online, I was afraid that it would be super hard. Really though, it was too bad. I picked a photo that I liked (my husband and I on our wedding day) and printed it just on plain paper. I had to crop the photo and resize it so it would fit on the canvas. This canvas is 6 inches by 6 inches. I cut the photo to size and then used spray adhesive to adhere it to the canvas. I had to spend a little bit pressing out the bubbles. Then, I applied Modge Podge Crackle Finish to the paper. This made it wrinkle some, so I had to press it smooth again. After that, I painted the edges silver with some acrylic paint made for canvas that I found at JoAnn's. I tried to make it antique looking by dry brushing a little around the edge of my photo. Overall, I was pleased with how this turned out for my first attempt. |

Another of my mom's adorable canvases! She is so good at everything crafty!
Well, that's all we got done tonight..it was the best time! I hope to keep crafting and get some more holiday decor and Christmas presents whipped out within the next week or so.
Your turn--link up with anything crafty you've done for the holidays so far! It can be for school or home. The link can be to a blog post that features a picture of your craft or to a pin of yours. I can't wait to see everyone's ideas. I also think it would be fun to do a "rule of 3" like Oh Boy 4th Grade's Currently posts- comment on the couple of links before yours and the one after yours. It really is fun to get to know more bloggers this way!
