Beary Fun Freebies!

Hi Friends,
As I am gearing up to go back to school tomorrow after a fun and very relaxing spring break, I thought I'd share some more freebies from the Bears Unit that I'll be teaching for the next two weeks.

Just click the picture to be taken to my TpT store and download for free! As always, please give me some feedback on TpT (heard the feedback points just went live!) or leave a comment here. :)

There are two pages (differentiated) for a class book that goes with Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Bill Martin, Jr. and Eric Carle, a graphic organizer for living and non living bears, and a fun page with the "Fuzzy Wuzzy" poem on it. I use simple poems like that for our poetry notebooks, which by kiddos keep in their book bins all year long. We add a new poem that coordinates with our thematic unit about every two weeks. It's a great tool to encourage reluctant readers, and for beginning readers to feel like they're really reading, especially at the beginning of the school year! I will take some pics tomorrow.

Hope you have a fantastic week! I know the weather has been absolutely gorgeous here in MN and this week it will be tough to focus on report card assessments!

  2. Love, love, love Brown Bear. I am going to do a teddy bear picnic next week...as long as the weather cooperates. Thanks for the great bear ideas.

  4. Kelly, since you mentioned the bear unit, I thought you might be interested in a song by Greg & Steve called "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?". It goes right along with the book, and it's really slow and pretty. I bought it from iTunes. If you have time, I would love it if you could stop by my blog. I have freebies in almost every post.
