Whew, once again too many days (actually, weeks) have flown by without any blog entry from me! Thankfully, I think I am in the swing of things at school finally and will hopefully be blogging at least twice a week from now on. That's my goal anyway!
I love to sneak in some pumpkin and Halloween activities this time of year. With all of our new Common Core +10% standards in MN it is getting harder and harder to find the time to do any extra "fun" stuff with the kiddos. Has anyone else felt SO rushed and like they're trying to cram in WAY too much on a day-to-day basis this year more than ever before?? I sure have and I'm trying not to go (too) crazy!
Anyway,I created a math pumpkin exploration activity to try to add some fun to math this week! Hope you can use it with your pumpkin pals, too. I think that I will do this activity as a whole group because of time constraints, but it would work great for math centers, too.
